Brinton of Philadelphia a plot of land in the "North west quarter of Section Eighteen, of Township Ten, in Range Eight, of the Lands directed to be sold at Steubenville." Signed at the conclusion in ink by President James Madison, and countersigned by Commissioner of the General Land Office Edward Tiffin. The crisply embossed white paper seal affixed at the lower left remains intact.
