LS in French, one page, 4.25 x 6.75, March 23, 1908. Addressed from St. Petersburg, a handwritten letter from Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov, penned three months before his death on June 21, 1908. In full (translated): “As I do not have at my disposal the musical material of my compositions which you need, I regret greatly that I cannot comply with your request. Consequently, I suggest you should apply to the publishers of my compositions: Mr. W. Bessel at St. Petersburg, (Antar and Tsar Sultan) and Mr. Belaieff at Leipzig (Mlada).” In fine condition.
