Letter to the Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Corporation, in full: "In connection with any new numbers of which I may compose the music which are used in the proposed Metro picture 'The Student Prince,' it is agreeable to me that these numbers be published by Harms, Inc., and that they have customary publication rights therein, and it is further agreeable that the royalties to me (which shall be direct from Harms, Inc. to me if it can so be arranged) be for the United States and Canada, three cents a copy on all pianoforte copies sold and five percent of the wholesale selling price of all orchestrations sold, and twenty-five percent of all monies received by Harms, Inc. from mechanical instrument rights in the United States and Canada, and from foreign royalties one and one-half cents a copy for pianoforte copies sold, and twenty-five percent of all other net monies received by Harms, Inc. from its foreign publishers or agents, subject to deduction for foreign income taxes." In fine condition, with minor paper loss to the left edge. The 1954 MGM musical The Student Prince, adapted from Romberg's 1924 operetta of the same name, starred Ann Blyth, Edmund Purdom, John Ericson, Louis Calhern, Edmund Gwenn, S. Z. Sakall, and Betta St. John.
