According to the consignor, the poster was presented in recognition of his leadership role in AT&T's Digital organization during the iPhone 4 launch. Although he was an outside contractor and not ordinarily eligible to receive the commemorative gift, an exception was made because he served as the digital launch lead. Accompanied by its original AT&T congratulatory card, which reads, in part: “The iPhone continues to be an important part of our success, and this year's launch of the iPhone 4 was the biggest and most successful iPhone launch we've ever held. In honor of your role in this launch, I am enclosing a token of our appreciation for your hard work and attention to all the details associated with this major event.”
