Signer of the Declaration of Independence from New York (1716–1778). Third-person ADS, signed three times within the text as “Phil. Livingston,” one page, 6 x 4.25, April 17, 1761. Financial receipt handwritten by Philip Livingston on behalf of Jonathan Livingston, acknowledging the receipt of £400 from Philip Livingston for the use of Tillie Fonda as partial payment on a bond. The document references a larger obligation of £2,400 owed by Philip Livingston and George Auloche for the benefit of the devisees of Philip Livingston, deceased, and records that the £400 payment was credited against the bond, with interest on that amount discontinued from the date of payment. Signed at the conclusion by Jonathan Livingston. In fine condition.
