Description

Japanese naval officer who commanded the 11th Flotilla (1900-1986) and who was Senior Officer on board the destroyer Amagiri on the night of the collision with John F. Kennedy's PT-109. Glossy 3.5 x 5 photo of Captain Yamashiro in uniform, signed in blue felt tip, "Ex-Captain K. Yamashiro." Also captioned on the reverse by Yamashiro: "Captain Yamashiro, commander of 11th Destroyer Flotilla on board the Amagiri." In fine condition.
