Description

American realist painter (born 1946) and the son of Andrew Wyeth and grandson of N.C. Wyeth, two of the most influential artists in American art. A leading figure of the Brandywine School tradition, he is renowned for his vividly detailed paintings of people, animals, and landscapes inspired by rural Pennsylvania and coastal Maine. ALS, one page, 7 x 9.75, personal letterhead, no date. Handwritten letter to Mr. Farmer: "Thank you for your letter. Unfortunately – I do not have any photographs of myself available." In very fine condition.

From the personal collection of a lifelong collector, teacher, and traveler with a passion for world history. His collecting years ranged from the 1970s to the present day, meaning that several of the premier pieces have not been on the market in decades.
