Description

ALS signed “Albert Edward,” five pages on adjoining sheets, 4.5 x 7, Abergeldie Castle letterhead, October 6, 1872. Handwritten letter, in part: "Many thanks for your epistle & I rejoice to hear that you are still in the land of the living after y'r various cruizes with that…captain of yours…I am indeed sorry to hear how ill poor Mrs. Grey has been but I trust that she is now in a fair way towards recovery. We have had fearfully cold & strong weather here…I have however been able to wage war ag'st the deer—& have killed 12 stags." In fine condition. Accompanied by the original mailing envelope, addressed in Edward's own hand.

From the personal collection of a lifelong collector, teacher, and traveler with a passion for world history. His collecting years ranged from the 1970s to the present day, meaning that several of the premier pieces have not been on the market in decades.
