LS signed “William R,” one page both sides, 7.25 x 9.25, October 12, 1835. Letter to the Bishop of Hereford, conveying "His sincere acknowledgements for the admirable Sermon which he preached yesterday in the Chapel of the Royal Hospital at Greenwich," satisfaction derived "from listening to a Discourse so able and so impressive, so creditable in a religious light to a Christian Divine, in a moral point of view to a distinguished Member of Society…the Sketch which it took of the Events of the Revolutionary War which was so appropriate to the occasion." In fine condition, with a light stain on the signed page.
