Danish physicist (1885–1962) who was awarded the 1922 Nobel Prize in Physics for his theory of atomic structure. TLS in German, signed “N. Bohr,” one page, 8.5 x 11.25, Institute of Theoretical Physics letterhead, November 25, 1920. Letter to J. P. Wibaut, in full (translated): "In reply to your question, I would like to inform you that Professor G. von Hevesy stayed here a few weeks ago, and that he will be returning here after the New Year and will be staying for an extended period. He is currently in Hungary, where his address is: Nador utza 15, Budapesty." In very good to fine condition, with a block of light toning, and two file holes to the left edge. Accompanied by Wibaut's retained copy of his letter to Bohr, requesting the address of George de Hevesy, who would later be awarded the Nobel Prize in Chemistry for his role in the development of radioactive tracers.
