Description

Inventor of photographic equipment (1862–1954) who, with his brother Louis, patented the cinematograph and produced the first-ever motion picture in 1894. DS in French, one page, 8.25 x 10.75, September 4, 1899. An untranslated invoice from Auguste Lumiere & His Sons, on the firm's elaborate and attractive letterhead, amounting to a total of 27.70 F charged to Maurice Lhuillier. Signed at the conclusion in ink by Lumiere. In fine condition, with light foxing and staining to the edges.
