Description

Inventor of photographic equipment (1864-1948) who, along with his brother Auguste, developed the cinematographe in 1893, and showed the first motion pictures using film projection in 1895; they also invented the Autochrome screen plate for color photography in 1903. Uncommon 3.5 x 5.25 postcard bearing an affixed portrait of Louis Lumiere, signed and inscribed below in ink by the photography pioneer. In fine condition.
