Description

Original program for a “Republican Congressional Dinner” held at the Sheraton-Park Hotel in Washington, D.C., on June 22, 1962, two pages, 8.5 x 11, signed on the front in blue ballpoint by Dwight D. Eisenhower and Mamie Doud Eisenhower. The cover features a view of the Capitol and the interior lists General Dwight D. Eisenhower as the keynote speaker. In fine condition, with light handling wear, and an unobtrusive central vertical fold. In his speech, Eisenhower incited the G.O.P. to vigorously oppose the current administration's policies. Eisenhower argued for a limited role of government, restricted spending, and the streamlining of bureaucracy.
