Description

"If anything can be done in the premises consistent with the interest of the naval service I hope it will be done"

ANS in pencil, signed “Andrew Johnson,” written on both sides of an off-white 3.75 x 2.5 card, no date. An interesting handwritten note by Johnson, in full: "Mr. R. had some conversation in reference to changes in the Navy which he will explain to you. If anything can be done in the premises consistent with the interest of the naval service I hope it will be done for Mr. R." In fine condition, with a rusty circular paperclip mark to the top edge and some of the text on the front light, but fully legible.

From the Collection of Paul K. Carr, former UACC President and Noted Expert.
