TLS as president, one page, 7 x 8.75, White House letterhead, July 28, 1930. Letter to lawyer George E. Farrand, marked "Personal," in part: "I am wondering if some of the decent lawyers in the country could not interest themselves in the forthcoming meeting you mention to act on this perfectly vicious and unfair propaganda. The United States Chamber of Commerce took similar action recently, the public repercussion of which has been a matter of constant regret to them ever since." In fine condition. Accompanied by the original White House mailing envelope.
