Description

German theoretical physicist (1901-1976) awarded the 1932 Nobel Prize in physics for the creation of quantum mechanics. Vintage circa 1971 matte-finish 2.25 x 3.5 portrait photo affixed inside a bi-fold presentation card measuring 8.25 x 6 open, signed in German on the adjacent side in bold black ink (loosely translated), “For congratulations and a sign of friendship for my 70th birthday, I thank heartfully, Werner Heisenberg.” In fine condition, with a rusty paperclip impression to the upper left corner.

A desirable signed presentation photo from the revered theoretical physicist, offering his appreciative thanks to a friendly colleague or well-wisher. Heisenberg remains scarce and coveted across all signed formats.
