Shortstop (1894-1975) for the Chicago White Sox, best known for his involvement in the 'Black Sox scandal' that threw the 1919 World Series to Cincinnati; Risberg was one of the eight players banned from organized baseball by Commissioner Kenesaw Mountain Landis. Fountain pen signature, "Chas. Swede Risberg,” on an off-white 5 x 3 card. In fine condition. Encapsulated in a PSA/DNA authentication holder. From the collection of Stephen Adamson.
