American composer and arranger (1894-1981) best known for his orchestration of many well-known Broadway and Hollywood musicals by other composers such as Irving Berlin, George Gershwin, Jerome Kern, Cole Porter, and Richard Rodgers. AMQS on an off-white 9 x 4 musically-lined sheet, signed and inscribed in black ink, "Dear Mr. Adamson, Robert Russell Bennett," who pens six bars of music and adds the words "Thank you for being / one of my / friends!"
