Hand-addressed mailing envelope, 5.5 x 3.5, addressed by Patton to “Miss Anne Wilson, c/o Geo S Patton Esq., San Gabriel, Las Angeles Co., Cal.” Envelope bears an affixed two-sent postage stamp and is postmarked West Point, NY, February 20, 1905. Stray ink marks to the lower right and a rough top edge from opening, otherwise fine condition. Accompanied by a color photocopy of the letter originally enclosed. Anne Wilson, known to the young Patton as ‘Aunt Nannie,’ was his mother’s sister. Pre-certified PSA/DNA.
