Rockwell concedes to technology: “For a long time I was against using photographs but now I work almost completely from photographs”

Two items: TLS, one page, 5.75 x 8, dated November 27, 1973. Rockwell writes on his use of photographs in his works. In part: “For a long time I was against using photographs but now I work almost completely from photographs, and I hope I get something individual in them”; and a color 8 x 9 magazine photo of Rockwell’s portrait of John F. Kennedy, signed and inscribed in black ink. In fine condition, with a diagonal corner crease to letter, and light wrinkling and creasing to portrait. Pre-certified PSA/DNA and RRAuction COA.
