Description

Just months after his brother’s assassination, RFK writes to a supporter regarding JFK’s presidential library: “I want to express my deep personal appreciation for your willingness to give time . . . for the oral history interviews for the John F. Kennedy Library.”

TLS signed “Bob,” one page, 8 x 10.5, Office of the Attorney General letterhead, June 5, 1964. A letter of thanks to a supporter of the JFK Library. In full: “I want to express my deep personal appreciation for your willingness to give time and thought from your busy schedule for the oral history interview for the John F. Kennedy Library. We are seeking to get these interviews completed in the next month or so, and I hope you will be able to push ahead on them. The project is a pioneering one that should provide invaluable insights for later historians, and I hope you will be full and frank in your comments. Again, my thanks for your participation in the project.” In fine condition, with clerical pencil notation at top, light edge toning, and usual mailing folds, one touching signature. R&R COA.
