Description

A day after the third anniversary of JFK’s death, a campaign-weary RFK confesses: “Our batting average may have been low, but we tried”

TLS signed “Bob,” one page, 6.25 x 8, United States Senate letterhead, November 23, 1966. A letter of thanks to a supporter. In full: “I just wanted you to know that you have my deep thanks for all your help on the trips during the campaign. Our batting average may have been low but we tried. I think the arrangements were well done and I appreciated your taking the time out to assist.” Kennedy adds a handwritten postscript, “Many thanks to you,” again signing “Bob.” In fine condition, with usual mailing folds, one touching signature and postscript, and a light corner bend. R&R COA.
