Description

ALS signed “W. F. Cody,” one page, 8.5 x 11, Buffalo Bill's Wild West letterhead, September 10, 1912. Handwritten letter to H. H. Cross, in part: "Your good telegram came and I wired you to send Burke's letter in my care. My family are here with me to day…I have been busy talking land sales and hotel sale. I am going to sell my hotels but it's going to take a little time to make the deals in the meantime your 1000 will help me very much." He closes with a comment about "show business." In fine condition. Accompanied by the original mailing envelope, addressed in Cody's own hand. A boldly penned letter on ornate stationery advertising Buffalo Bill's Wild West combined with Pawnee Bill's Great Far East.
