Italian patriot and soldier (1807–1882) best known for leading the attack of the 'Red Shirts' on Sicily in 1860. Two letters in Italian signed by Garibaldi: ALS signed "G. Garibaldi," one page, 7.25 x 4.5, March 18, 1863, sending thanks for a warning; and LS signed "G. Garibaldi," one page, 7.25 x 4.5, February 4, 1873, transmitting his autograph. In overall very good to fine condition, with areas of paper loss to both.
