Fix up some plan between them which will ensure that the Mill is visited every night at two times – about midnight and again at about 3 a.m. I will gladly give each of them a special present when I get back, if they will do this for me. Then, also, Mrs. Hunt and John must have a good look round my side of the house before going to bed and ensure that all the windows are securely fastened, doors locked, and so on.
