ALS signed “Monty,” one page both sides, 5 x 8, Isington Mill letterhead, November 27, 1948. Handwritten letter to "Ava," in full: "I would love the cheese. I will send the car to Lord North Street to collect it on Tuesday next 30 Nov. Thank you. I would love to go to Cinderella with you on Thursday 23 December. David will be here with me. Can I bring him too? It is most kind of you to think of asking me. I cannot manage 13 Dec. I send you two more copies of the Alamein speeches. I am about 20 miles from Haslemere and fear I cannot visit your doctor friend there just at present. But I will remember him and will go when I can." In fine condition, with a rusty paperclip impression to the top edge.
