French poet, playwright, and film director (1889–1963) known for works such as the novel Les Enfants Terrible in 1929, and his film La Belle et la Bête in 1945. ALS in French, one page, 8.25 x 10.5, 1955. Handwritten letter from Jean Cocteau, in full (translated): “Since I have the honor of having been made Honorary President of the Cannes Film Festival, I would like not to remain completely invisible.
