Signed book: Lincoln and His Cabinet by Charles Anderson Dana. Special limited edition, numbered 126/500, published as a souvenir of the Thirteenth Annual Lincoln Dinner of the Republican Club of the City of New-York, 1899. Hardcover, 5.25 x 7.25, 72 pages. Signed on the first free end page in pencil by Theodore Roosevelt ("T. Roosevelt"), General Nelson A. Miles, and Admiral W. S. Schley; also signed on the front pastedown by Republican politician Chauncey M. Depew. In very good to fine condition, with a block of light toning touching all of the signatures. Book condition: VG/None, with light soiling to the boards. Accompanied by an original program from the dinner, which took place at Delmonico's on February 13, 1899, and featured toasts by Roosevelt, Miles, and Schley, with Depew acting as toastmaster; the program's red binding ribbon is split. Housed together in a worn slipcase.
