ALS, one page both sides, 4.5 x 6, 11 Mallord Street letterhead, January 28, 1924. Handwritten letter to Mrs. Hilton Young, regarding the sale of his works: "But, of course, we love letters like yours. The whole family sings. I am more used to the woman who writes: 'I got your book from the library,' or the woman who asks, wondering where they sell these things, 'Where can I get your book?' There is a simplicity about your method which is staggering: You just go out and buy twelve copies without any fuss at all, as if there were nothing in it. And now you calmly propose to buy all the others: 'twelve of them, counting the plays,' said the author firmly, determined not to waste you. And be particularly sure to get 'One on a Time.' You will be the fourth. The other three liked it very much." In fine condition, with light toning over the blank lower half of the second page.
