American pianist, bandleader, arranger, and composer (1897–1952) who was important in the development of big band jazz and swing music. He was one of the most prolific black musical arrangers and, along with Duke Ellington, is considered one of the most influential arrangers and bandleaders in jazz history. Vintage matte-finish 8 x 10 photo of Henderson at the microphone by Maurice of Chicago, signed and inscribed in fountain pen, "To my good friend Paul Miller, with every good wish, Sincerely, Fletcher Henderson, 5-20-36.” In very fine condition.
