Two items: a World War II-dated fountain pen signature, “Capt. Eddie Rickenbacker,” on a light yellow 4.25 x 6 album page; and a WWII-dated TLS, signed “Eddie Rickenbacker,” one page, 7.25 x 10.5, personal Eastern Airlines (Office of the President) letterhead, September 3, 1943, letter sent to Donald Dugan: “Unfortunately I did not have the opportunity of replying to your letter of March 10 before leaving on another mission for the War Department from which I have just returned, but I am delighted to enclose herewith, as requested, my autograph on the yellow sheet of paper which you sent me.” In overall fine condition, with a central horizontal mailing fold to the album page. Accompanied by the original mailing envelope.
