Manuscript DS, signed “Victoria R.,” one page both sides, 7.5 x 12, June 3, 1859. Document related to the appointment of Henry Hamer Gideon to be “Consul at St. Helena” for “Our Good Brother The King of Denmark.” Signed prominently at the top of the first page in ink by Queen Victoria. The original embossed seal remains affixed to the upper left. Matted and framed to an overall size of 10.5 x 15; window to frame backing reveals the reverse side. In fine condition.
