Description

American composer (1897-1963) best known for his avant-garde works employing a wide range of innovative sonic resources, including new ways of playing the piano. ALS, one page, 6.5 x 7, personal letterhead, April 28, 1956. Letter to George Schimer, in part: "Thank you for sending me the material of my 'Pastoral and Fiddler's Delight,' together with a note saying you are willing to release it. It would be a great favor if you could send me a more formal release." In fine condition, with staple holes to top edge, and a vertical fold to left side. From the collection of Stephen Adamson.
