Scottish golfer (1894–1975) on the PGA of America circuit in the 1920s and 30s. ALS, one page, 6 x 8, November 20, 1967. Brief letter to a fan about his career. In part: “I’m sorry that I forgot to tell you the greatest satisfaction during my career. I am quite sure that when I became an American citizen in 1936, that was the most satisfying event in my career.” In fine condition, with slight haloing to the text and some show-through from a pencil notation to the reverse.
