Popular lyricist and librettist (1896-1981) who wrote the lyrics to the standards, 'Brother, Can You Spare a Dime?,' 'April in Paris,' and 'It's Only a Paper Moon,' as well as all of the songs in The Wizard of Oz. ALS signed “E. Y. Harburg,” penned on an off-white 8.5 x 2.75 musically lined sheet, no date. Brief letter to Bob H., in full: "I am a lyricist and not a composer for notes. For photos etc you will have to write A.S.C.A.P., #1 Lincoln Okazam New York NY, Thank you." In fine condition. From the collection of Stephen Adamson.
