Blind American jazz multi-instrumentalist (1935-1977) who played tenor saxophone, flute, and many other instruments. He was renowned for his onstage vitality, during which virtuoso improvisation was accompanied by comic banter, political ranting, and the ability to play several instruments simultaneously. Vintage ballpoint signature of Rahsaan Roland Kirk on an off-white 3.25 x 2.25 slip affixed to a 7 x 9 sheet with clipped image and Danish collector's notations indicating that the autograph was obtained in person in Gothenburg on October 5, 1965. In very good to fine condition, with offset toning from an image that was once in contact with the page. Kirk's signature is quite rare given that his wife typically signed on his behalf.
