If you love live gaveled auctions and are looking to sell your items for the highest prices, this event is for you. We’re seeking highly desirable rarities, including autographs and artifacts, from the categories of music (modern and classical), U.S. presidents, fine art and literature, sports, Hollywood, notable figures, and American and European history. Bringing history to our bidders has always been at the forefront of our practice. Our past events have presented items from historical moments such as this revolver recovered from the scene of the 1929 St. Valentine’s Day Massacre. This Colt Detective Special originally belonged to Capone rival Frank Gusenberg, and the gun is even visible in crime scene photographs. This lot was sold in our 2022 Rarities event for $187,500, nearly double its estimate.

Pop culture pieces have been popular with buyers like this Bruce Lee signed photograph. In this early portrait, Lee is dressed as his iconic character Kato from The Green Hornet television series. This role paved the way for Lee to make more appearances as the character, despite The Green Hornet only lasting for a single season. RR sold this lot for 23,750.

Ultra-rare literature items have also captured the attention of our collectors. Personal artifacts help to demonstrate where authors find inspiration for their long living masterpieces. Sold for $56,250, this pair of humorous letters by author F. Scott Fitzgerald evokes the glitzy opulence of the Jazz Age – a recurring motif in his novel, The Great Gatsby.
