“Life in Hell 1989 Fun Calendar,” 12 x 12, signed on the front cover in red felt tip, “Matt Groening, 11/8/88,” who draws a large sketch of the one-eared rabbit, Bongo, the illegitimate son of Binky. In fine condition, with trivial creasing, and light dampstaining to the upper right corner. This sketch of Bongo, one of the characters in Groening's celebrated Life in Hell comic strip, was drawn about a year and a half after the Simpson family premiered on The Tracey Ullman Show. Springfield’s finest debuted in their own half-hour series on Fox on December 17, 1989.
