Vintage matte-finish 5 x 7 head-and-shoulders portrait of the youthful Sinatra, signed and inscribed in fountain pen, "To Arlene—Sincerely, Frank Sinatra.” A collector's notation on the reverse gives the date and location: "Dec. 7, 1943 at RKO Theater in Boston, Mass." In very good condition, with scattered creasing, two tape-repaired tears to the right side, and a lighter diagonal crease passing through his chin. Sinatra had just signed with Columbia Records in June 1943, beginning what would become a wildly successful solo career.
