"I regret that I cannot furnish you the autograph of General Harrison"

ALS, one page, 7.75 x 9.75, April 11, 1859. Addressed from Sherwood Forest, a handwritten letter to Joseph Boyd, in full: “I regret that I cannot furnish you the autograph of General Harrison agreeable to your request. I should take pleasure in doing so if in my power.” In fine condition, with intersecting folds. The “General Harrison” referenced is almost certainly William Henry Harrison, under whom Tyler served as vice president before succeeding him as president upon Harrison’s death in 1841.
