Agreement in which Bruce agrees to reprise his celebrated role as Dr. Watson for a radio program. In part: "We engage your artistic services for one radio program per week. You agree to perform your services in a competent and artistic manner and to the best of your ability as directed by us including services at rehearsals, previews, broadcasts and re-broadcasts. The services to be rendered by you shall include services as an actor in the role of Dr. Watson on a series of programs based upon or adapted from Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's 'Sherlock Holmes' stories, characters or incidents. You also agree to participate, if requested by us, in connection with the commercial announcements on said programs. It is now contemplated that said program will be broadcast over the network of the Mutual Broadcasting System, originating at Los Angeles, California, on Mondays from 5:30 to 6 o'clock P.M. Pacific War Time, with a rebroadcast from 8 to 8:30 o'clock P.M. Pacific War Time." Neatly signed at the conclusion in fountain pen by Nigel Bruce, and countersigned by a representative of M. L.
