Description

TLS signed “Yours sincerely, Elizabeth,” one page, 4.75 x 7.5, Buckingham Palace letterhead, December 12, 1947. Letter to Mrs. Walter Hutchinson: "I was so delighted to receive the books 'Wild Fowling with a Camera,' 'Fish,' and 'Hoofbeats,' and I hope you will both accept my grateful thanks for your kind thought in sending me such a lovely wedding present." Elizabeth has added the salutation in her own hand. In fine condition. Accompanied by the original mailing envelope, as well as an original glossy 6.25 x 4.5 photograph of Princess Elizabeth, Prince Philip, and their full wedding party, and an original program for “The Wedding of Her Royal Highness Princess Elizabeth and Lieutenant Philip Mountbatten, R.N.,” at Westminster Abbey on November 20, 1947. A gracious post-wedding letter from Princess Elizabeth, written just three weeks after her marriage to Prince Philip.
