Handwritten letter to Peter Knight, in part: "Thank you very much for the most generous present of the lamp you gave me for Christmas—I am extremely grateful and it will be very useful indeed. Thank you also for all the help over the lamps for the newly decorated room at Windsor—they worked very efficiently and looked very nice indeed…The shop as usual was such a vital help to me for all the Christmas presents and I have had nice thank-you letters back, too!" In very fine condition. Accompanied by the original mailing envelope, addressed in Elizabeth's own hand and initialed, "ER," in the lower left corner.
