Description

Emperor Hirohito appoints the Secretary of the Supreme Court

Scarce manuscript DS in Japanese, one page, 12 x 8.75, September 28, 1966. Unusual document in which the emperor of Japan appoints Judge Masamichi Yoshimura as the Secretary of the Supreme Court. Boldly signed in the upper left by Emperor Hirohito. Handsomely double-matted and framed with a portrait and plaque to an overall size of 25.5 x 19. In fine condition, with three vertical folds. An uncommon format, this is the only Hirohito appointment we have ever offered. Accompanied by a full letter of authenticity from PSA/DNA.
