Hanna-Barbera's 50th: A Yabba Dabba Doo Celebration was a 94-minute live-action/animated television special that premiered on TNT on July 17, 1989, commemorating the 50-year partnership of legendary animation producers William Hanna and Joseph Barbera. Hosted by Tony Danza and Annie Potts, the retrospective combined celebrity appearances, newly animated wraparound segments, and classic cartoon clips chronicling the duo's careers from their years at MGM through the founding and success of Hanna-Barbera Productions. The special also featured a behind-the-scenes preview of the then-upcoming Jetsons: The Movie and was dedicated to voice actor Daws Butler, while marking the final television appearances of legendary voice actors Mel Blanc and George O'Hanlon.
