(Walt Disney Studios, 1950) Beautiful original 16-field hand-painted production background of the King's bedroom from Cinderella, representing the lavish royal bedchamber dominated by an enormous red canopy bed with ornate gilt trim, richly decorated gold walls with repeating carved panel motifs, a tall ornate mirror against the far wall, a blue arched ceiling with decorative molding, and a gold-tiled floor. Accomplished in gouache on untrimmed 15.5 x 12.5 artist's paper marked in the lower border in pencil, "Check final Field, 2063, SEQ 4.2, SC. 5." In fine condition, with pinholes to the upper edge and a couple of short tears to the upper left corner. A finely rendered production background from the King's bedchamber, an important palace setting that frames the King's desire to see Prince Charming wed.
