(Walt Disney Studios, 1951) Original production key master background set-up featuring Alice from Alice in Wonderland, which shows the title character in a wonderful full-length walking pose as she follows a well-trodden woodland trail. The cel is placed on its matching hand-painted production background from the same film, depicting in great detail the fantastical forest landscape of Wonderland, and is annotated in the lower margin: “2069-9-48, 2069, Sc. 48, Sc. 9-09.0.” The cel is numbered accordingly as “2069-9-48” and “109.” The Alice image measures 2 x 3.5, with overall dimensions of 15.5 x 12.5. In very good to fine condition.
Released in 1951, Alice in Wonderland brought Lewis Carroll's classic fantasy to the screen in a vibrant animated adaptation that remains among Disney's most beloved animated features.
