Two official NASA photos individually signed in felt tip by Apollo 17 astronauts Gene Cernan and Ron Evans: a 7 x 6.25 photo of CDR Cernan saluting the American flag on the moon's surface during the Apollo 17 mission, signed and inscribed, “To Ernie – with my very best wishes to you, Gene Cernan, Apollo XVII”; and a 9.75 x 7.5 photo of the historic launch of the Apollo 17 mission, signed and inscribed on the original mount, “To Ernie, this was a great time, and I'm glad you were with us – Best wishes, Ron Evans,” who adds above the photo, “Apollo XVII 6-19 Dec 1972.” Both are individually framed to overall sizes of 10.5 x 10 and 12.25 x 10.25. In overall very good to fine condition, with crazing to the emulsion of the Evans image, and light rippling to Cernan's.
