Signer of the Declaration of Independence from Pennsylvania (1742–1798), and one of only six men who signed both the Declaration and the United States Constitution. Partly-printed DS, endorsed on the reverse, “Wilson,” one page, 10 x 7.5, April 23, 1774. A Cumberland County writ of fieri facias directing the sheriff to seize and sell the goods and chattels of Benjamin Chambers, "late of your County, yeoman," to satisfy a judgment of £46 3s. 6d. lawful money of Pennsylvania recovered against him by James Downery in the Court of Common Pleas at Carlisle. Signed at the conclusion by John Agnew, and endorsed on the reverse by James Wilson, above which are docketing notations headed "No. 9, To July Term 1774." In very good to fine condition, with edge chipping, and partial repairs to splitting along the fragile folds.
