Accompanied by a provenance letter from the original recipient: “In January of '86, Andy did a talk at Boston Public Library but by the time my friend & I arrived after our lectures, there was no room at the inn. So, we waited outside (in the snow!), me with my Interview and my friend with her copy of America. When he finally came out, we screamed his name & [he] actually stopped—asking if we'd been inside. Told him we had waited outside, he couldn't believe it and invited us to the hotel bar at Copley Plaza for a drink—gin & tonic (my first, lol, because I was still underage!) He signed, said ‘Thanks, girls’ and we skipped through the snow high on life.”
